Denon’s 11.5mm dynamic

Denon engineers have incorporated 11.5mm drivgers in each ear piece and professionally tuned these to provide an accentuated bass experience. But we didn’t stop there – we know that you want your bass to thump but your cable vibrations to be inaudible, so we implemented a radial cascade damper system to keep cable vibrations to a minimum, allowing for better detail. High-grade neodymium magnets are also used in the speakers to improve the dynamics and efficiency. Finally the speaker drivers are mounted in our proprietary Hybrid Metal Housing, which combines the precision machines aluminum alloy and a sophisticated resin compound. These materials dramatically reduce earpiece resonance and improve sound detail and balance.

That’s why we’ve included an in-line remote & microphone for easy control of your Apple® iPod®, iPhone® or iPad™ and placed it slightly higher on the cable towards your mouth than conventional models for enhanced call clarity. If your weapon of choice is an Android, the microphone allows you to conduct phone calls with ease, and controls may work (depending upon the model you have….we do wish Android had a standard for control, but we do understand their philosophy of providing an open platform). Whichever source you choose, you can be assured you’ll get great sound quality with these headphones.
